Kathy is a visionary, creative and strategic leader who spent the last 20 years working in the labor movement and volunteering on Boards of Directors of non-profit organizations in Denver. She served as the Executive Director of Colorado’s largest labor union for five years and has over 12 years in senior management or executive level positions. She is very experienced at strategic planning, comprehensive campaign planning, facilitation, leadership coaching, and overall organizational positioning. As an organizer for over 20 years, her approach is inclusive and engaging and focused on building capacity of leaders and organizations.

Her experience includes developing programs, systems, and plans that are transformational for organizations and individuals including building more collaborative and inclusive cultures and creating more alignment between the organizational culture and its strategy.

She also has managed complex membership based organizations and diverse teams of managers. Her role has included developing and overseeing strategic plans, hiring and retention processes, leading DEI efforts, developing relationships with external partners, and co-creating structures for labor management collaboration with staff unions.

Her various roles have included managing advocacy, leadership development, civic engagement, legislative, and communications/public relations campaigns to support movement building work.
